The IDF struck more than 70 Hezbollah infrastructure targets in several areas across Lebanon, including the Bekaa Valley and Tyre, the military announced in a statement on Monday.
Approximately 85 munitions were used in the attacks, said the IDF.
In the southern Lebanese city of Tyre, the military struck about 10 command centers, weapons storage facilities, and additional infrastructure sites used by the terror group in attacks against Israel.
The strikes on Tyre came following an escalation in Hezbollah drone attacks against IDF troops and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s subsequent orders to “hit the gas” on strikes against the terror group.
The Israeli Air Force also eliminated Hezbollah terrorists operating on motorcycles in southern Lebanon where IDF troops were operating, added the military’s statement.
Home Front Command tightens guidelines for northern communities
The Home Front Command updated on Monday night its defensive guidelines for communities along the Lebanese border.
Gatherings and services will be permitted with up to 50 people in an open area and up to 200 people within a structure, instead of the previous limits of 200 and 600, respectively.
Educational activities will remain the same, according to the IDF’s instructions.
The northern communities of Meron, Bar Yochai, Or HaGanuz, and Satsufa will remain at a partial activity level, with no change to their guidelines.
The updated guidelines will be in place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Home Front Command continues to conduct ongoing situational assessment, the military said. The public will be notified of changes to guidelines via the Home Front Command and the IDF’s official platforms.
