Hundreds of haredim protest Jerusalem light rail expansion, attempt to enter construction site

Hundreds of haredi (ultra-Orthodox) individuals gathered to protest the expansion of the light rail in the Bar-Ilan Street area of northern Jerusalem on Thursday night, Ynet reported. 

Protesters reportedly tore down fences, set fire to cardboard installations, and attempted to break into the construction site.
