Defense Minister Israel Katz says any Iranian attack would free IDF ‘from any restrictions’

An Iranian attack on Israel would release the IDF “from any restrictions,” Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Thursday during a speech to Defense Ministry employees ahead of the upcoming Rosh Hashanah holiday, Walla reported.

“We will destroy all national, military, and civilian infrastructure in Iran, including energy infrastructure,” Katz threatened. “We will return Iran to the Stone Age.”

Katz emphasized that the Iranian regime “knows very well” why it has recently avoided attacking Israel.

“We attacked them with force,” said Katz. “We destroyed their nuclear program, we assassinated (former supreme leader) Khamenei, and we severely damaged their strategic capabilities.”

He added that the heavy economic pressure being applied by US sanctions against Iran is “likely” to push the regime “to the brink of destruction.”

“Israel is prepared for defense and attack,” added Katz. “The IDF is ready to carry out the mission.”

His comments came following a statement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanayhu on Wednesday that an attack by the Iranian regime would be “one of their last decisions.”

This is a developing story.
