Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will fly to Washington, DC, on Monday and meet with US President Donald Trump at the president’s invitation, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement on Friday.
Netanyahu will also attend the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham, whom the statement described as “a friend of Israel.”
The statement added that journalists will not be permitted to accompany the prime minister aboard his official aircraft, Wing of Zion. Journalists traveling independently are required to register through a link provided by the PMO, although registration “does not constitute approval to participate.”
Netanyahu announced last week that he was postponing his trip to Washington after the senator’s funeral was rescheduled.
The visit will mark Netanyahu’s first official trip to Washington since the start of the Iran war. His most recent visit was in February
