A light aircraft crashed in an open area near the community of Eshtaol, near Beit Shemesh, on Saturday, lightly injuring its pilot, a man in his 60s.

Magen David Adom medics and paramedics treated the pilot at the scene.

“We received a report of a light aircraft that crashed in an open area. We arrived at the scene and saw the aircraft among a grove of trees and the pilot walking around,” MDA emergency medical technician Shadi Bargiti said.

“We conducted medical examinations on the pilot, and at this stage he is not being evacuated to the hospital.”

This is a developing story.
