  • Ipsen is buying Memo Therapeutics, the developer of an experimental antibody against a virus that can complicate kidney transplants, for about $228 million upfront. The deal, which expands Ipsen’s rare disease pipeline, comes just days after the French firm announced it was also acquiring Kartos Therapeutics, picking up its drug candidate for a rare blood cancer.

Anthropic says it will begin developing drugs

The AI giant Anthropic said yesterday that it will try to develop drugs on its own, with executives saying the company needs to get hands-on experience solving real scientific problems.
