U.S. stocks ended Friday in the green but posted a weekly loss as rising bond yields weighed on the markets, with both the 30-year Treasury bond and the 10-year Treasury note trading at multi-year highs.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 53,277 on Friday, down 0.85 percent for the week. The S&P 500 dipped 1.43 percent to finish the week at 7,674. The Nasdaq fared the worst, falling 2.05 percent, while the small-cap Russell 2000 finished 1.65 percent lower.
