European Stocks Pare Losses on US-Iran Peace Negotiation Hopes

European stocks pared earlier losses as expectations grew that Iran and the US are about to resume peace negotiations.

The Stoxx Europe 600 Index traded 0.3% lower as of 12:55 p.m. in London, trimming an earlier drop of as much as 1%, after Pakistani officials saidBloomberg Terminal Iran’s foreign minister is expected in Islamabad Friday night for a second round of peace talks. US logistics and security teams are already in Islamabad, they said. The news sent Brent crude sliding to about $104 a barrel, after they earlier topped $107.
