Six Thai workers were injured in northern Israel after a previously undetonated ordnance exploded on a farm near Metula on Tuesday morning.
Two workers in their 40s were seriously injured, one was moderately injured, and three others were lightly injured, Magen David Adom said.
The seriously and moderately injured workers were airlifted to Ziv Medical Center in Safed, while the other three were transported to the same hospital by ambulance.
Ordnance was reportedly part of a cluster munition
According to Ziv Medical Center’s spokesperson, one of the seriously injured workers was urgently admitted to the operating room, and the other is undergoing medical assessments.
N12 News reported the ordnance was the head of a cluster munition. The Jerusalem Post has reached out to the IDF for confirmation.
Israel Police responded to the scene of the incident and have begun an investigation into the circumstances of the explosion.
