Ra’am Party head MK Mansour Abbas said that Israel and the United States were the only ones who did not recognize Palestine as a state and that Ra’am seeks to bring peace between Palestine and Israel.
“The State of Palestine is alive and well, and the world recognizes it, except for the United States and Israel,” Abbas said.
The Ra’am Party held its election primaries on Saturday to select its candidates for the top of the list for the Knesset.
The 28th national Arab conference, held in the city of Taiba, was attended by 1,050 members, men and women from across the country, who selected the list of candidates for the five leading positions in the upcoming Knesset elections.
Abbas: Arab Israelis ‘a bridge to achieving peace’
“We, the Arab citizens of Israel, are a bridge to achieving peace,” he said. “The state of Palestine exists and stands, and most of the world recognizes it, except for the US and Israel.
“We want them to recognize it too, and we are working to achieve peace, reconciliation, and an end to the occupation and conflict,” Abbas continued.
