The Roundtable was hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce with national chamber leaders and participation from the White House and other federal agencies. In a December 2024 letter, then-U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves wrote to Honig, “Thanks to your visionary initiative and support, we established and convened the first National Chambers of Commerce Leaders Roundtable.” He credited the initiative with “empowering chamber leaders across the United States” and “ultimately stimulating economic growth from the grassroots level.” His international work also includes trade relationships in Korea and Panama.

Honig took part in the December 2025 HHS Lyme disease roundtable convened by Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and is listed on the TOPx HHS Tech Sprint for AI and Invisible Illness evaluation panel. Governor Phil Murphy credited Honig with having “inspired and envisioned” Economic Development Day in a 2021 proclamation. Established by legislation signed by Murphy in 2019, the day is observed on the second Monday in May to promote collaboration, job creation and economic development. The New Jersey Legislature also commended Honig and the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce for championing the day.
