JERUSALEM – Airlines must submit crew details at least 48 hours before scheduled departure under new Israeli security-reporting requirements announced Thursday by the Israel Tax Authority’s National Center for Passenger Data Analysis.
The official announcement says the earlier deadline is intended to give security authorities more time to prepare and improve the security response for civil aviation. The reporting rules concern flights to and from Israel.
Three reports before and at departure
Airlines must first send a list of all assigned crew members no later than 48 hours before the flight’s scheduled departure. They must then send an updated list during the usual check-in window, no later than two hours before scheduled departure, including any changes to the crew or their reportable details.
A full, final crew list must also be sent at actual departure. The updated official policy says that final message must reach the SITA data gateway no more than 15 minutes after takeoff.
The policy requires each update to contain the complete current crew list, rather than only the information that has changed. Crew data must be submitted separately from passenger data.
Airlines remain responsible for reporting
The policy, version 1.2 dated October 2026, says airlines remain responsible for accurate, timely reporting even when travel agents or outside service providers process the data. For codeshare flights, the operating airline carries that responsibility.
The new reporting timetable concerns airline crew submissions. Thursday’s announcement does not set out a new check-in deadline for travelers.
