Binance said it would restart customer withdrawals in phases beginning early Sunday, the exchange said in its fourth recovery update since a hack drained roughly $6.3 billion from the platform.
The first phase, running from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. UTC, covers bitcoin, ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana and XRP among other networks, the update said. Binance said about 95 percent of the impacted amount is now covered, up from 90 percent in its previous update, and that all bitcoin, ether, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC balances are fully backed. A full post-incident report is forthcoming, the exchange said.
Bitcoin traded near $77,800 on Sunday morning, up about 0.6 percent over 24 hours, while ether held near $2,260, according to Coinbase exchange data.
The restart follows a partial reopening of Ethereum and BNB Chain withdrawals and comes as the exchange works through the aftermath of the theft, which the FBI has blamed on North Korean hackers.
