Real estate brokerages are expanding through local acquisitions, a new brand affiliation and a Pennsylvania leadership appointment, with moves spanning North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and the Philadelphia area, according to HousingWire’s brokerage roundup by Tracey Velt.

The changes involve different arrangements rather than a single national merger: ERA Live Moore is acquiring a Winston-Salem firm, Corcoran Reverie is adding a Tennessee brokerage, Realty Exchange is joining the CENTURY 21 brand, and SERHANT. is appointing a new Pennsylvania managing director and principal broker.

ERA Live Moore adds Blue Door Group

ERA Live Moore announced the acquisition of Blue Door Group Real Estate, a firm serving the Greater Winston-Salem market. The business will operate as Blue Door Group Real Estate, an ERA Live Moore Company, retaining its local name within the larger brokerage network.

Founder Jodi Tate launched Blue Door Group in 2020. The transaction also reconnects her with a business where she previously worked: she was selected to launch ERA Live Moore’s Winston-Salem office in 2016 before starting her own company, according to HousingWire.

SERHANT. names Pennsylvania leader

Mishel Taylor is joining SERHANT. as managing director and principal broker of its Pennsylvania operation. Taylor, licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, comes from eXp Realty and has more than two decades of experience across residential finance, brokerage management and agent development, the report said.

Her responsibilities include brokerage operations, compliance, recruiting and agent performance. The role covers Philadelphia neighborhoods and Main Line communities, including Bryn Mawr, Villanova and Wayne. This is a leadership appointment, not an acquisition of her former employer.

Corcoran Reverie expands in Tennessee

Corcoran Reverie announced its acquisition of NextHome Music City Realty, based in Murfreesboro. The acquired brokerage will operate under the Corcoran Reverie name.

Co-owners Tad Ritchison and Todd Grubaugh will continue leading their agents and serving clients in Nashville, Franklin, Murfreesboro and nearby communities, HousingWire reported. The arrangement expands Corcoran Reverie’s Tennessee presence while keeping the local team under its existing leaders.

Realty Exchange affiliates with CENTURY 21

In Palm Coast, Florida, Realty Exchange LLC is joining the CENTURY 21 network and will do business as CENTURY 21 Realty Exchange. The brokerage has nearly 100 independent sales professionals and has operated for about 20 years.

Julie Sabine, who founded the firm in 2006, will continue leading it alongside co-owner Dave Petkovsek. Unlike the two acquisitions in North Carolina and Tennessee, this move is a brand affiliation. The four announcements show brokerages adding reach through different structures, from retaining a local identity to adopting an acquirer’s banner or joining a franchise network.
