United Airlines’ official Starlink tracker shows the satellite internet service is available on 50% of the carrier’s daily flights systemwide, with installations completed on 674 aircraft. The rollout is still under way: the same tracker puts fleet completion at 45% and says installations are on track to finish by the end of 2027.
The figures describe two different measures. Half of daily flights operating with Starlink does not mean that half of United’s aircraft have been fitted with the service. A plane’s flying schedule affects the share of departures passengers can book on equipped aircraft.
Of the 674 aircraft listed as installed, United’s tracker counts 352 regional planes, 315 narrowbody aircraft and seven widebody aircraft. Those categories add to the total shown on the tracker.
Availability varies by hub
The tracker shows Starlink on 61% of daily flights at Chicago O’Hare, compared with 54% at Denver, 48% at Houston and 47% at Newark. It lists Los Angeles at 46%, Washington Dulles at 43% and San Francisco at 33%.
Those are hub-level departure estimates, not a promise that a particular reservation will have the service. United describes the calculation as Starlink departures divided by total departures from each hub.
Travelers can use the flight-number lookup on United’s tracker to check Starlink availability up to three days before departure. The company also lists progress by aircraft type, giving travelers a view of which parts of the fleet have been equipped and which remain in the rollout.
The tracker gives a current picture of United’s installation program. Its figures do not establish that the airline announced a new rollout milestone Tuesday or that every United flight has Starlink. United’s stated target remains completion of installations by the end of 2027.
