Democratic Sen. John Hickenlooper is projected to win a second term in Colorado, while Democrat Jamie Ager is projected to flip North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District, Fox News reported Tuesday night.
Fox projected Hickenlooper over Republican state Sen. Mark Baisley. The outcome would keep Colorado’s Senate seat in Democratic hands. Hickenlooper previously served as Colorado governor and Denver mayor, according to Fox.
Ager projected to flip western North Carolina seat
In North Carolina, Fox projected that Ager has defeated Republican state Rep. Jennifer Balkcom in the 11th District. The result would change the seat from Republican to Democratic control.
Balkcom became the Republican candidate after incumbent Rep. Chuck Edwards withdrew from the race. The district-level outcome does not determine which party controls the House.
Tlaib and Lander win Democratic-held seats
The Associated Press reports that Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib has won reelection in Michigan’s 12th District. Fox’s election-night report identified Republican James Hooper as her opponent.
Fox also reported that Democrat Brad Lander will defeat Republican Jennifer Moore in New York’s 10th District. Lander, a former New York City comptroller and council member, won the Democratic primary over incumbent Rep. Dan Goldman.
These are media race calls, not certified election results. This roundup includes no vote totals or margins and does not make a call on control of either chamber of Congress.
