FedEx has added 1.25 million pounds of weekly cargo capacity between Asia Pacific and the United States, expanding routes that carry semiconductors, servers and online orders during the peak shipping season.

The company detailed the expansion in a November 4 release. The additional 567,000 kilograms of capacity comes with a new five-times-weekly Boeing 777F service linking its Asian network to the United States.

For U.S. importers and businesses buying components from Asia, the expansion adds cargo space and another route into the country during one of the busiest trading periods of the year. FedEx did not announce lower shipping prices in the release.

More access to Memphis and Dallas-Fort Worth

The service uses three routing variations connecting Guangzhou, Shanghai and Osaka with FedEx’s Clark gateway in the Philippines, then through Anchorage, Alaska, to its Memphis hub. Vietnam customers gain a Clark connection alongside the existing Hanoi-Bangkok link.

A separate new five-times-weekly connection reaches Dallas-Fort Worth through Anchorage. FedEx says that route strengthens access between Asian manufacturing centers and businesses supplying the region’s technology and data-center markets.

The company singled out advanced manufacturing, semiconductor production, AI infrastructure and premium e-commerce as industries the extra capacity is designed to support. The expansion is a logistics addition, not a guarantee that any particular shipment will arrive sooner; customers still need to check their route and service terms.
