Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, India’s largest port operator, agreed to buy 100% of Evos B.V., Europe’s second-largest independent liquid storage operator, from Igneo Infrastructure Partners, Adani said in a statement.
The all-cash transaction values Evos at an enterprise value of €2.56 billion and an equity value of €1.18 billion, funded through debt, the company said. MUFG is the sole underwriter and has committed financing of up to €2.8 billion for the deal, the company said.
Evos runs eight port terminals across five countries – the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Malta – with 6.3 million cubic meters of storage capacity, Adani said. Its tanks hold gasoline, diesel, marine and jet fuel, as well as newer fuels such as sustainable aviation fuel and biofuels.
The deal is not closed. Regulatory approvals and a works council consultation process will start immediately, Adani said.
The purchase marks Adani’s first major entry into European liquid storage and would expand its global footprint to 28 ports and terminals across 10 countries, the company said. Evos reported revenue of €392 million and core earnings of €219 million in 2025, a 56% margin, with average commercial occupancy of 99%.
Adani shares closed down 1.3% at 1,884.6 rupees in India on Thursday, Reuters reported.
