Amphenol reported record third-quarter sales of $10.2 billion Wednesday, up 65% from a year earlier, as strong demand for information-technology and data-communications equipment and acquisitions lifted the connector and sensor maker’s business.

The company also increased its quarterly dividend by 20% and approved a new $4 billion share-repurchase program, according to its results release issued through Business Wire.

Orders reach $12.2 billion

Sales rose 37% organically, a company measure that excludes acquisitions and currency changes. Orders reached $12.2 billion, producing a book-to-bill ratio of 1.19, meaning orders exceeded quarterly sales.

GAAP diluted earnings were $0.79 per share, up 61% from a year earlier. Adjusted diluted earnings, a non-GAAP measure, were $0.80 per share, up 74%. Chief Executive R. Adam Norwitt said sales and adjusted earnings exceeded the high end of the company’s guidance.

Amphenol reported a GAAP operating margin of 29.5% and an adjusted operating margin of 29.7%. Operating cash flow totaled $2.1 billion.

Higher dividend and a new buyback

The quarterly dividend will rise to $0.15 per share from $0.125. The increased dividend is payable January 13, 2027, to shareholders of record December 22, 2026.

The new three-year, $4 billion repurchase program takes effect January 1, 2027. Amphenol expects to finish the repurchases remaining under its existing $2 billion program by December 31, 2026.

All share and per-share figures in the release, including comparisons and the dividend, reflect the company’s September two-for-one stock split.

Four-deal package totals about $1.6 billion

Amphenol completed its acquisition of Empire Electronics in September and signed agreements to acquire AdvancedPCB, Dexgreen and the sensor business of Humanetics. The combined purchase price for all four businesses is approximately $1.6 billion, to be financed with cash and debt.

AdvancedPCB and Humanetics Sensors are expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, while Dexgreen is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027. Those three transactions remain subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.

Fourth-quarter outlook

Amphenol forecast fourth-quarter sales of $10.3 billion to $10.5 billion and adjusted diluted earnings of $0.81 to $0.83 per share. For the full year, it expects sales of $36.9 billion to $37.1 billion and adjusted diluted earnings of $2.82 to $2.84 per share.

The outlook excludes the three acquisitions that have not closed and assumes current market conditions continue and exchange rates remain constant. The company is scheduled to discuss its results on a 1 p.m. Eastern conference call.
