Bitcoin fell toward $77,000 Friday morning, with the largest cryptocurrency down more than 3% over 24 hours as digital assets remained under pressure.

Bitcoin traded at $77,314.27, down 3.49%, in a Coinbase price snapshot checked at approximately 9:11 a.m. Eastern time. Ether was also lower, trading at $2,243.59, down 3.37% over 24 hours, according to Coinbase’s Ether price page checked during the same morning update.

The decline came as Binance responded to a security breach with an estimated $6.3 billion impact, adding uncertainty for cryptocurrency investors.

The prices are a point-in-time snapshot rather than a fixed level for the trading day. The percentage changes measure the preceding 24 hours, not the move since midnight or the U.S. stock-market open.
