Israeli chip-inspection equipment maker Camtek reported record third-quarter revenue of $161.3 million on Wednesday, up 28% from a year earlier, and reaffirmed its outlook for further growth as customers invest in advanced chip packaging.
Revenue rose 21% from the second quarter, according to the company’s November 4 results release. Camtek expects about $180 million in fourth-quarter revenue and about $595 million for 2026. Its initial outlook calls for more than $800 million in 2027.
For semiconductor suppliers and investors, the report points to demand for the inspection equipment used in increasingly complex chips. The revenue outlook is a management forecast, not sales already booked for the full year ahead.
Advanced packaging supports the outlook
CEO Rafi Amit attributed the momentum particularly to high-end advanced packaging, which he said is benefiting from expanding demand for artificial intelligence. He said the company now has business visibility about a year ahead.
GAAP net income was $42.8 million, or 84 cents per diluted share, compared with a $53.2 million loss in the year-earlier quarter. Adjusted net income was $50.3 million, or 99 cents per diluted share, up from $40.9 million and 82 cents a year earlier.
Adjusted operating income, a different measure, was $47.5 million. The company’s adjusted gross margin was 51.1%, compared with 51.5% a year earlier.
Camtek generated $71.1 million in operating cash flow during the quarter. Cash, short-term deposits and marketable securities totaled $877.1 million at September 30, up from $815.8 million at June 30.
