First Lady Melania Trump will bring representatives of Russia and Ukraine together at the White House, the administration said in a statement issued Tuesday, November 3.

The statement also scheduled remarks by the first lady for 11 a.m. Eastern time on Thursday, November 5, at the White House. It did not identify the Russian or Ukrainian representatives or give a separate time for their gathering.

The White House said her remarks would address a ceasefire in Oleshky, which it credited her with securing in the city and the surrounding Kherson region. The statement did not announce a nationwide ceasefire.
