Roivant has proven to be one of the savviest dealmakers in biotech, evidenced once again this week by the strong efficacy achieved by its pipeline drug mosliciguat in a Phase 2 study of pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease, or PH-ILD.
As I wrote Tuesday, the study results could open up a new way to treat the serious lung disease and bolster Roivant’s financial health with a second blockbuster medicine. The drug’s origins are another fascinating aspect to the story.
