Strategy resumed bitcoin purchases and bought back more of its preferred stock in the week through November 1, the company disclosed Monday, November 2. It acquired 811 bitcoin for $65.5 million and repurchased $208.2 million of its STRC preferred shares, according to its Form 8-K.

The bitcoin purchases, made between October 26 and November 1, carried an average price of $80,846 per coin, including fees and expenses. Strategy said the purchases were funded with proceeds from sales of its MSTR common stock.

The company reported total holdings of 849,327 bitcoin as of November 1, acquired for about $64.08 billion at an average cost of $75,451 per bitcoin. Its bitcoin ledger lists the latest acquisition as about $66 million on a rounded basis.

Strategy sold 1,178,552 common shares during the reporting period, generating $164 million in net proceeds. Of that amount, $65.5 million funded the bitcoin purchases and $98.5 million was allocated to U.S. dollar cash. The filing reported no sales under its preferred-stock at-the-market programs during the period.

Separately, Strategy repurchased 2,092,035 shares of its variable-rate Series A Perpetual Stretch preferred stock, traded as STRC, for $208.2 million. The preferred-share repurchase is distinct from the bitcoin acquisition and the common-stock sales.

The update follows Strategy’s previous pause in bitcoin buying while it spent about $205 million repurchasing preferred shares. Monday’s filing shows purchases and preferred-stock buybacks taking place in the same reporting week.
