A vessel has been reported on fire 63 nautical miles southeast of Al-Faw, Iraq, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said in a warning dated October 26.

UKMTO said it had received multiple third-party reports of the fire. The incident time remained unconfirmed.

The agency said the crew’s status, damage assessment and environmental impact were unknown at the time of its notice. Warning 183-26 classified the report as suspicious activity but did not identify the vessel or state what caused the fire.

UKMTO advised vessels to transit with caution and report suspicious activity while authorities investigate.
