Democrats have won Senate races in Delaware, Rhode Island and Massachusetts, while Democratic governors in Massachusetts, Maryland and Illinois have won reelection, the Associated Press reports.

In Delaware, Sen. Chris Coons has defeated Republican Michael Katz, a former state lawmaker. Rhode Island Sen. Jack Reed has defeated Republican Ray McKay and independent Michael Bahry. In Massachusetts, Sen. Ed Markey has defeated Republican John Deaton.

Three Democratic governors win reelection

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey has won a second term over Republican Mike Minogue, an Army veteran and medical technology executive. Healey previously served two terms as the state’s attorney general, Fox reported.

In Maryland, Gov. Wes Moore has defeated Republican Dan Cox in a rematch of their 2022 race. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has defeated Republican Darren Bailey, also in a rematch, winning a third term.

Moskowitz wins redrawn Florida seat

The Associated Press also reports that Democratic Rep. Jared Moskowitz won Florida’s newly drawn 25th Congressional District. Moskowitz previously represented the 23rd District but ran in the 25th after mid-decade redistricting, making this a win in a changed constituency rather than a simple repeat under the old boundaries.

These AP race calls are not certified election results. This roundup reports no vote totals or margins, and these individual calls do not establish which party will control either chamber of Congress.
