Democrat Christina Bohannan is projected to defeat Republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District, according to NBC News and the Fox News Decision Desk.

The result would flip the Republican-held House seat to Democrats. NBC’s district results page named Bohannan its winner.

Bohannan had challenged Miller-Meeks in 2022 and 2024 before their latest matchup, Fox reported. The district-level result is separate from the overall balance of power in Congress.

Vote counting and official certification continue after media race calls.
