Democrat Johnny Garcia is projected to win Texas’s 35th Congressional District over Republican Carlos De La Cruz.
The Associated Press called the race for Garcia in a report carried by CBS8 early Wednesday. NBC News also listed Garcia as the projected winner.
The San Antonio-area district was redrawn ahead of this election. This report does not classify the result as a party flip or hold. A media race call is not official election certification.
