Republican Sen. Pete Ricketts has won reelection in Nebraska, defeating independent Dan Osborn, according to The Associated Press.

AP declared Ricketts the winner at 3:27 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday. The result keeps the seat in Republican hands.

Ricketts will serve his first full six-year Senate term after his appointment in 2023 and special-election victory in 2024. Osborn also challenged Nebraska Sen. Deb Fischer in 2024.
