Europe’s biggest fintech just got a lot bigger – and it is coming for American banking customers next.

Revolut confirmed Wednesday that investors have completed a share sale valuing the London-based company at $115 billion, a 53% jump from the $75 billion price tag it carried a year ago and more than double its $45 billion valuation in 2024, TechCrunch reported.

The sale was a so-called secondary transaction: existing investors and employees sold their shares – at about $2,017 each – to buyers led by Glade Brook Capital Partners, Coatue, Durable Capital Partners, T. Rowe Price and Baillie Gifford. No new money went into the company, and Revolut did not say how much stock changed hands, Tech.eu reported.

The new number cements Revolut’s status as Europe’s most valuable private tech company. The firm, which says it has more than 80 million retail customers worldwide, has recently secured banking licenses in the U.K. and Europe and is preparing to launch a U.S. bank in 2027.

For everyday users, the valuation race matters because it determines how fast Revolut can roll out full banking services – from checking accounts to loans – in new countries, including the United States, where it would compete directly with the big consumer banks.
