Democratic Sen. Cory Booker has won reelection in New Jersey, the Associated Press reports. He returns for a third full term. Read the AP race call via WTOP.

Booker faced Republican Justin Murphy and two third-party candidates. Murphy is a U.S. Navy veteran, attorney and former deputy mayor of Tabernacle, according to CBS.

A former mayor of Newark, Booker first entered the Senate through a 2013 special election following the death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg. CBS described his legislative priorities as tax relief for working families, health care access, criminal justice reform and changes to federal immigration policy.

The result keeps New Jersey’s seat in Democratic hands. It does not establish control of the Senate, and this report does not include vote totals or a certified margin.
