The IDF killed two Hamas terrorists who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre and held Israeli hostages captive, during strikes on the Gaza Strip, the military confirmed on Friday.
Hassan Mahmoud Siam, a Hamas terrorist commander, was killed in Gaza City on Wednesday. Siam participated in the October 7 massacre and was involved in holding multiple Israeli hostages captive.
According to the IDF, Siam held Amit Soussana, Keith and Aviva Siegel, and Dafna Elyakim hostage over the course of the war.
Hamas terrorist Adham Sabhi Salim Ziara was killed in a separate strike on Gaza City on Tuesday.
In recent weeks, both Siam and Ziara were involved in attempts to rebuild Hamas’s terror capabilities and attempted to carry out shooting attacks against IDF troops.
The two terrorists also planted explosive devices near the Yellow Line in Gaza.
Hamas finance head killed in separate Wednesday strike
On Wednesday, the IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) also killed Hamas Finance Department Chief Muhammad Abu Alwan in Khan Yunis, according to Defense Minister Israel Katz.
According to an Army Radio report, Abu Alwan managed Hamas’s external funds in the years leading up to the October 7 massacre.
After October 7, he managed internal funds for Hamas’s terrorist operations, including funding secured under the guise of humanitarian aid, Army Radio reported.
