Eli Lilly and Hims & Hers Health announced an agreement Friday morning that lets eligible patients prescribed Zepbound or Foundayo by a licensed provider on the Hims & Hers platform buy the medicines at Lilly’s self-pay prices without leaving the platform.
Self-pay pricing starts at $299 a month for Zepbound and $149 a month for Foundayo. Those are starting prices for the medicines, not the all-in cost of a Hims & Hers membership.
For people paying out of pocket for these drugs, the change is one flow instead of two: a consultation on the platform, a prescription if the provider decides it is appropriate, and home delivery of the FDA-approved Lilly medicine, without a separate trip to Lilly’s own LillyDirect channel. Hims & Hers began routing patients to LillyDirect for Lilly’s GLP-1 medicines in April, and Friday’s agreement builds that access directly into the platform itself.
“Millions of people turn to Hims & Hers for their care, and through this agreement, those patients now have a simple, more direct way to get FDA-approved Lilly medicine at an affordable price if prescribed,” said Ilya Yuffa, Lilly’s executive vice president and president of Lilly USA and global customer capabilities.
Hims & Hers said it has never offered compounded copies of Lilly’s GLP-1 medicines and committed not to do so in the future. The companies also committed to protecting independent clinical decision-making, so providers on the platform prescribe the treatment they determine is right for each patient.
