Democratic Rep. Frank Mrvan is projected to win reelection in Indiana’s 1st Congressional District, while Democrat Zach Dembo is projected to flip Kentucky’s 6th District, according to Fox News’ election-night reporting.

Fox reported that Mrvan is projected to defeat Republican Barb Regnitz, a Porter County commissioner and financial planner. The projected result would keep the Indiana seat in Democratic hands.

Fox reported that Dembo defeated Republican Ralph Alvarado in the central Kentucky district, which includes Lexington. This report treats that result as a media projection, not a certified outcome.

The seat was open after Republican Rep. Andy Barr chose to run for the U.S. Senate rather than seek reelection to the House, according to Fox. Dembo’s projected victory would move the district from Republican to Democratic control.

These are individual race projections. This report includes no vote shares, margins or final seat totals, and does not make a separate projection about control of Congress.
