U.S. crude oil fell below $95 a barrel on Tuesday morning, November 3, trading at $94.92 as of about 9:02 a.m. Eastern, down 1.6 percent from Monday’s official settlement of $96.46, according to CME Group prices. The December contract fell as low as $93.59 after rising as high as $98.82 overnight, a swing of more than 5 percent.
The drop unwound an overnight rebound that followed a reported U.S. strike on Iran’s Qeshm Island, as the United States and Iran continued reviewing proposals from Qatari mediators to bridge their differences.
