Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs said Saturday that the government had not investigated Alice Huang’s alleged ties to Chinese intelligence, rejecting that part of a report about the former Megaspeed executive and her connections to Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang.

The ministry said neither Singapore’s government nor its officials had made the statements attributed to them about concerns over Alice Huang’s alleged intelligence ties. It said no such investigation into her had been conducted.

The clarification does not close a separate investigation into Megaspeed. In a response released with Saturday’s statement, Singapore’s police said investigations into the company were ongoing and that they could not comment further.

The ministry published the questions it had received from a newspaper and the government’s response, saying that response had not mentioned Alice Huang or concerns or investigations relating to her alleged ties to Nvidia’s chief executive or Chinese intelligence.

Singapore said it does not implement other countries’ unilateral export controls, but does not condone companies deliberately using their association with Singapore to circumvent or violate those controls. It said it acts against companies and individuals that violate Singapore’s laws or engage in fraudulent practices.

The denial is limited to what Singapore’s government said and investigated. It does not establish the outcome of the ongoing Megaspeed investigation or settle every allegation made about Alice Huang.
