More than $1 billion in liquidations, persistent ETF outflows, and fading momentum hit digital assets even as stocks continue riding the AI boom.

By JBizNews Desk

June 2, 2026

Bitcoin fell below $68,000 on Tuesday, extending a sharp cryptocurrency selloff that wiped out more than $1 billion in leveraged positions and underscored the growing divergence between digital assets and a stock market that continues to march toward record highs.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency traded as low as approximately $67,200 during the session, its weakest level in roughly a month, according to market data. The decline came as investors pulled hundreds of millions of dollars from crypto exchange-traded funds and traders rushed to unwind bullish bets that had accumulated during this year’s rally.

The weakness was broad-based across digital assets.

Ethereum fell nearly 5% to around $1,900, while Solana dropped approximately 6% to the mid-$70s. XRP declined about 5%, adding to losses across the sector. The total cryptocurrency market capitalization fell roughly 3.5%, erasing tens of billions of dollars in value in a single trading session.

For many investors, the bigger question is not why crypto is falling.

It is why crypto is falling while stocks keep rising.

The S&P 500 remains near record highs, fueled by continued enthusiasm surrounding artificial intelligence, strong corporate earnings, and steady capital spending by technology giants. The Nasdaq Composite has continued benefiting from AI-driven optimism, while investors have increasingly favored large-cap equities over more speculative assets.

In effect, money that might have flowed into cryptocurrencies earlier in the cycle is finding a home elsewhere.

The first major factor weighing on crypto is the continued exodus from exchange-traded funds.

Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $483 million in net outflows on Monday, extending an outflow streak that has now lasted nearly two weeks. Ethereum funds have experienced a similar pattern, with investors steadily reducing exposure despite hopes that ETF adoption would provide a durable institutional bid.

The significance is straightforward.

During much of the previous rally, ETFs served as a powerful source of new demand, helping absorb available supply and support rising prices. When those flows reverse, markets lose an important source of support.

“The institutional buyer has stepped away,” one digital-asset strategist said Tuesday. “The question becomes who replaces that demand.”

At the same time, leverage amplified the decline.

According to CoinGlass, more than $1 billion in crypto positions were liquidated over a 24-hour period, with nearly all of the losses concentrated among traders betting on higher prices.

When leveraged positions are forced to close, exchanges automatically sell assets to cover losses. That selling can trigger additional liquidations, creating a cascade effect that accelerates downward moves.

The result is often a decline that appears sudden but is actually fueled by automated selling mechanisms embedded throughout the market.

Adding to investor concerns was news involving Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR), the company led by Michael Saylor and widely regarded as the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin.

The company disclosed the sale of 32 Bitcoin for approximately $2.5 million, representing an average sale price of roughly $77,000 per coin.

While the transaction was tiny relative to Strategy’s overall holdings, traders viewed it as another negative headline in an already fragile market.

Analysts largely dismissed the sale as immaterial, noting that it does not appear to signal any broader shift in Strategy’s long-term commitment to Bitcoin.

Still, markets often react more to sentiment than size.

The contrast between crypto and equities has become increasingly difficult to ignore.

Just a few months ago, many investors expected cryptocurrencies and technology stocks to move higher together as enthusiasm surrounding artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and innovation accelerated.

Instead, stocks have continued attracting capital while crypto has struggled to maintain momentum.

For companies operating within the digital-asset ecosystem, including ETF issuers, exchanges, custodians, and publicly traded firms holding Bitcoin on their balance sheets, price volatility remains central to the business model.

Higher prices attract inflows, trading activity, and investor attention. Lower prices can quickly reverse those trends.

The next test for crypto markets may arrive sooner than many investors expected.

Technical analysts are closely watching the $66,000 to $65,000 range as the next major support area for Bitcoin. Should that level fail to hold, some traders believe the market could revisit levels closer to $60,000, an area that previously attracted strong buying interest earlier this year.

For now, the message from markets is clear.

Wall Street remains focused on earnings growth, artificial intelligence, and corporate investment. Crypto investors, meanwhile, are confronting a different reality—one defined by weakening fund flows, fading momentum, and a market searching for its next catalyst.

Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) Ventures invested in Ethena by purchasing ENA (CRYPTO: ENA) tokens on the open market Tuesday, with a partnership bringing USDe to Coinbase’s 100 million users.

USDe Integration Goes Live Next Week For 100 Million Coinbase Users

Ethena founder Guy Young confirmed the integration launches next week, marking the first time Ethena products become available to Coinbase’s full user base.

The partnership centers on dollar savings products and includes Circle’s (NYSE:CRCL) USDC stablecoin, but the companies have not disclosed the exact structure of the collaboration.

“Given the evolving nature of the CLARITY Act, we expect further potential tailwinds for onchain native products like USDe from idle balances on exchanges, and Ethena is well-positioned to support this transition,” Young posted on X.

Gemini, the crypto exchange founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, may have been politically targeted under the Biden administration, according to current Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Michael Selig.

“Politically Targeted”

Speaking on CNBC’s Squawk Box, Selig said the CFTC is attempting to reverse what he described as a flawed enforcement action against Gemini.

The comments mark one of the strongest criticisms yet from a Trump-era regulator against prior U.S. crypto enforcement actions.

“The Biden administration weaponized the federal agencies against the crypto industry,” Selig said. “They politically …

Senators Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) sent a letter Sunday pushing the Department of Labor to kill a proposed rule that would open 401(k) retirement plans to cryptocurrencies and other alternative assets.

Rule Would Strip Long-Held Investor Protections, Lawmakers Say

The rule originated from a Trump executive order directing the Labor Department to pave the way for alternative assets in retirement plans.

The March proposal outlines steps 401(k) managers should take when incorporating private equity, real estate, and digital assets, creating a safe harbor for fiduciaries who offer those options.

Sanders, Warren, and House Education Committee ranking member Rep. Robert Scott argue that safe harbor removes protections retirement savers have relied on for decades.

“This would strip long-held investor protections from retirement savers and encourage the use of more risky, complex, and expensive investments,” they wrote to Acting Labor Secretary …

Strategy Inc.’s (NASDAQ:MSTR) preferred stock (NASDAQ:STRC) dropped below $98 on Tuesday as Peter Schiff declared the death spiral he predicted has officially begun.

Cash Reserve Drained From 21 Months To 6.1 Months

Strategy’s USD reserve, designed to cover preferred stock dividends, stood at $871 million as of May 31, covering just 6.1 months of payments.

Saylor himself said he wants that number above 18 months.

Annual dividend obligations across Strategy’s four preferred stock series now exceed $1.7 billion, meaning the reserve eroded from over two years of coverage at the start of 2026 to barely half a year today.

The drain happened quickly. Strategy pulled $1.38 billion from the reserve to repurchase $1.5 billion of convertible debt at an 8% discount.

While the debt buyback made financial sense, it …

Arthur Hayes bet $100,000 that Hyperliquid, as measured by Hyperliquid Strategies Inc (NASDAQ:PURR) outperforms every other top 10 crypto by year-end, with Multicoin Capital co-founder Kyle Samani accepting and backing Solana (CRYPTO: SOL).

Hayes Has $150 Target, Samani Once Called HYPE Everything Wrong With Crypto

The wager carries extra weight given the history between the two. Samani called Hyperliquid “everything wrong with crypto” in February, criticizing its closed-source architecture and accusing the protocol of facilitating illicit activity.

Despite those public criticisms, on-chain analysts later found wallets linked to Multicoin Capital had purchased over $40 million worth of HYPE.

Peter Schiff renewed his criticism of Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) after the cryptocurrency slipped below $68,000, arguing investors would have generated far larger returns elsewhere over the last five years.

BTC Failure To Outperform

Schiff’s comments in a X post on June 2 sparked pushback from crypto traders who accused him of ignoring Bitcoin’s massive long-term gains after previously discouraging investors from buying the asset near $1,000.

“Saying BTC investors missed out on huge gains is pretty shameless,” the trader responded. “You are the guy who advised people not to buy BTC when it was $1,000.”

Anthony Pompliano, CEO of Professional Capital Management, stated on Monday that selling pressure on Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) appears to be easing, pointing to on-chain data from Binance Research.

‘Sustained Long-term Holder Conviction’

In a video posted on X, Pompliano cited four key data points to back his thesis.

First, he noted that nearly 60% of Bitcoin has not moved in a year, a significant increase from 27% in 2012. This, according to him, was an indication of Bitcoin becoming more “illiquid” over time, in turn pointing to a “sustained long-term holder conviction.”

Secondly, he highlighted the short-to-long-term realized value ratio, which is currently sitting deep in its “historical bottom zone. A low ratio indicates that long-term investors are moving more value compared to short-term speculators, often marking ideal long-term accumulation zones in bear markets.

Thirdly, Pompliano …

JPMorgan Chase Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon issued an unfiltered, aggressive warning against a new crypto-friendly bill moving through Congress while also targeting Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong’s multimillion-dollar lobbying push.

In a wide-ranging interview with FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo on Friday, Dimon was asked for his thoughts on the CLARITY Act, which aims to establish clear regulatory guidelines in the U.S. for digital assets and stablecoins.

Dimon then rejected Coinbase’s messaging that its lobbying represents broad consumer interests, promising an all-out industry “fight” on Capitol Hill.

“We’ll fight it. If we lose, we lose and we’ll live,” Dimon said. “But it will be fought… No one’s going to bow down to this guy, OK? Or that company… And he’s spending hundreds of millions of dollars… He’s full of s–t.”

JAMIE DIMON REVEALS WHAT HE TOLD MAMDANI AFTER PRIVATE MEETING, SAYS IDEOLOGY CAN LEAD MAYORS TO FAIL

“Just be fair. If he takes deposits like a bank, he should have bank rules. We have social requirements, litigation, legal liquidity requirements, capital requirements, AML requirements, financial reporting requirements, transparency requirements,” he continued. “If he wants to be a bank, be a bank. That’s all it is.”

Dimon argued that if crypto platforms want to act like banks and take customer deposits, they must play by the exact same rules.

“And they’re not FDIC-insured. We have requirements to build branches in lower-income neighborhoods… We have like 84 regulators all over us. We’re just saying it should be fair and equal, period. Not that they can’t do what they want to do,” Dimon said. “If you want to buy cryptocurrency, be my guest. You know, I believe it’s a free country, and I defend that right. But we just want it to be fair.”

When asked if he’s “happy” with the legislative language of the CLARITY Act, Dimon responded: “No, because it allows them to effectively pay interest on deposits, stablecoins or something like that, without the protection that they should have… it has almost no legal protections. So no, the banks will not accept it that way.”

Coinbase did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

The CEO of America’s largest bank also warned that decentralized crypto networks risk becoming a preferred pipeline for cartels and human traffickers if Washington doesn’t enforce strict oversight.

“I do think it will be used for cross-border payments, small dollar payments, you know, for person-to-person [transactions],” Dimon said. “Remember, once that money’s in a wallet overseas, it could be in anyone’s wallet. And it goes to a third wallet, a fourth wallet. So the first one may be legitimate, [the] second one may be a sex trafficker. So, you know, it’s complicated and the government needs to do it thoughtfully. If they don’t do it thoughtfully… it’ll be a huge problem.”

Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap at $240 billion, has been losing ground. Trading at $1,987 at the time of writing, ETH has shed more than 50% of its value since hitting an all-time high of $4,955 in August 2025. The slowdown can be attributed to different reasons; here are the major ones, and what could change the outlook.

Leadership Uncertainty at the Ethereum Foundation

The Ethereum Foundation has been undergoing a significant restructuring. In January 2025, Vitalik Buterin confirmed the organization was moving toward a smaller, more focused role – describing it as “one node with a defined purpose” rather than a central authority. At least eight senior contributors have since departed, raising questions about leadership direction, treasury strategy, and execution pace.

For investors, prolonged internal disruption at the organisation that has historically guided Ethereum’s development creates uncertainty – and uncertainty suppresses price momentum.

Institutions Are Pulling Back

Ethereum ETF products have attracted significantly less institutional capital than Bitcoin’s. While Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $16 billion in net inflows during 2025, Ethereum ETFs averaged just $1.2 billion in daily trading volume – roughly 31% of Bitcoin ETF activity. The gap widened sharply in Q4 2025, with Ethereum ETFs recording $1.4 billion in outflows in November alone – the largest monthly exit since their July 2024 launch.

Glassnode data showed net flows for Ethereum ETFs turned negative in early November 2025 and have not recovered since. Without fresh institutional demand, there is limited buying pressure to support any meaningful price recovery.

Macro Conditions Weigh on Risk Assets

Elevated interest rates reduce appetite for speculative assets. When safer instruments offer attractive yields, capital tends to rotate away from crypto. …

Cardano’s (CRYPTO: ADA) community voted down funding for the Cardano Summit 2026, with the proposal falling short of the required two-thirds supermajority and sending ADA down 3%.

Proposal Got 65% Support But Needed 66.67% To Pass

The Cardano Foundation proposed a two-day summit in Singapore on October 5-6, seeking 7.8 million ADA worth roughly $2 million from the network treasury.

Yes votes came in at 65.21% of participating delegated representative stake, just 1.46 percentage points short of the 66.67% supermajority treasury withdrawals required.

By headcount the vote was actually a majority, 135 in favor against 61 opposed with 24 abstaining.

However, Cardano’s governance rules require roughly two-thirds of DRep stake, not just a simple majority, for treasury actions to pass. The Constitutional Committee approved the request but that was not enough to save it.

The old crypto narrative was simply that Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) is an investment everyone needed to hold. Maybe someday people will use it to buy cars or real estate.

But with Bitcoin and other major crypto currencies declining all year, and alt-coins desperately trying to prove their investability, the best cryptocurrency story today lies in two things: stablecoins and payment infrastructure.

Researchers at Chainalysis have repeatedly noted that emerging markets are increasingly using stablecoins for remittances, savings preservation, cross-border payments, and business transactions rather than speculation. Singapore, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines consistently rank among the world’s highest crypto-adoption markets.

In those markets, stablecoins are being integrated into existing national payment systems. Philippines is perhaps the best case, if not the most recent example.

“A growing number of Filipinos are using stablecoins as a form of dollarized savings and that demographic is broader and more mature than commonly assumed,” said Wei Zhou, CEO of Coins.Ph, one of the oldest fintech companies in Southeast Asia and arguably the Philippines’ most important crypto payments platform. Coins.Ph launched in 2014 as a Bitcoin wallet and remittance service, long before crypto became mainstream in the Philippines.

“Stablecoins are often associated with younger, tech-savvy users. But our data shows that the majority of stablecoin holders in the Philippines are working adults in their 30s and 40s,” Zhou said. The driver is simple: opening a traditional dollar denominated bank account in the Philippines is difficult, with high minimum balance requirements and burdensome paperwork. “Stablecoins offer a more accessible, low-friction do-it-yourself dollar savings account, allowing Filipinos to protect their wealth without traditional gatekeepers.”

The Philippines is one of the top five largest remittance markets. Millions of Filipinos work abroad and send money home. That made the Philippines a natural testing ground for crypto remittances and stablecoin payments. Coins.ph was one of the earliest firms trying to bridge traditional finance and blockchain in that environment.

Coins.ph enables stablecoin payments across the Philippines through integration with the Central Bank-backed QRPh system, a QR code that allows users to pay with local pesos, Tether, USDC, or a mix of those. The launch in April marks the first direct stablecoin payment integration within the national QR code framework in the Philippines, a market that saw a record $35.63 billion in remittances last year.

These new digital systems, running on a blockchain, can be seen as direct competition for traditional players like Western Union (NYSE:WU) and even Visa (NYSE:V) and …

Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ:MSTR) sold 32 Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) for roughly $2.5 million between May 26 and May 31 to fund preferred stock dividend payments.

Holdings Drop To 843,706 BTC With $2.9B Paper Loss

The 32 coins were sold at an average price of $77,135 each, reducing total holdings to 843,706 Bitcoin worth around $61 billion.

Strategy’s average purchase price sits at $75,699 per coin, putting total acquisition cost at roughly $63.9 billion and leaving an implied paper loss of approximately $2.9 billion at current prices.

The sale came the same week Strategy sold 801,994 MSTR shares for $128.3 million under its at-the-market program, though none of those proceeds went toward Bitcoin purchases during the period.

The company still has approximately $26.1 billion remaining under its ATM program, recently extended to include an additional $21 billion of MSTR, $21 billion of STRC preferred stock, and $2.1 billion of STRK preferred stock.

Bankless co-founder David Hoffman sold his entire Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) position and rotated into Zcash (CRYPTO: ZEC) and NEAR (CRYPTO: NEAR), saying ETH the asset has no clear path to being re-rated higher.

Hoffman Separates The Network From The Asset

Hoffman’s core argument is that Ethereum’s own roadmap is hurting ETH holders. Applications built on Ethereum capture most of the fees, while L2 networks take 97% margins from the rollup model.

That means ETH the asset has no clear way to go up even while the network keeps growing.

Former Ethereum Foundation member Hudson Jameson disagreed on the price outlook but agreed that separating the network from the asset is the right way to think about it.

He said the L2 fee issue is real but overstated, and that Ethereum’s biggest challenge is simply …

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) has dipped below $73,000 but is setting up for a short-term bounce says prominent analyst Trader Mayne, who sees the larger move as a countertrend rally before a deeper cycle low later this year.

Bitcoin Setup: Bounce Incoming?

In his Saturday livestream titled “Crypto Is Bleeding,” Mayne said Bitcoin failed to confirm his prior bullish setup because it never delivered the market structure break he needed for execution. That kept him from chasing the latest bounce attempt.

Mayne said Bitcoin is now near an area where a bounce makes sense, but he wants confirmation before taking the long side.

Still, Bitcoin needs to reclaim last year’s low and break its short-term downtrend first

He laid out three possible setups for a …

Binance announced its entry into the U.S. stocks and ETFs trading market on Monday, with overseas users set to gain access to more than 7,000 U.S.-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds.

Binance revealed its plans to enable customers to convert their stocks into crypto-style digital assets, a significant stride towards its aspiration of becoming a multi-asset financial super app. Binance’s co-CEO Richard Teng told Fortune that this initiative aims to minimize the cost and complexity of purchasing U.S. stocks, especially for foreign customers.

Through collaborations with broker-dealer Nest Trading and New York-based firm Alpaca, Binance would provide zero-commission stocks and fractional share purchases starting at $5 to non-U.S. customers. They will have the option to make purchases using stablecoins USDC (CRYPTO: USDC) or USDT (CRYPTO: USDT), or other digital currencies, including Binance’s own BNB.

The company has also unveiled an ambitious plan for “bStocks” that will …

The financial world is currently obsessed with a number that does not exist in any bank, vault, or ledger. When the media reports that Bitcoin’s market capitalization has climbed by another $1 trillion, the public imagines a literal tidal wave of cash, one trillion actual dollars, pouring into the digital asset. This is more than a misunderstanding: it is a fundamental failure to grasp the mechanics of price discovery. In reality, that $1 trillion of perceived wealth can be conjured out of thin air by a fraction of that amount in actual capital.

Before you read further, don’t scream at me. I am not talking about your precious Bitcoin; I am just quoting this as an example. To understand why a $1 trillion increase in market cap does not require a $1 trillion injection, one must first dismantle the “Bucket Theory” of markets. Most casual observers view a market like a container. They believe that if the container’s value is $2 trillion, then $2 trillion has been poured into it. This logic is seductive because it is intuitive, but it is entirely false. A market is not a bucket of value: it is a signaling mechanism.

The Arithmetic of the Marginal Trade

The first step in deconstructing this myth is looking at the formula for Market Cap.

Market Cap = Total Circulating Supply X Current Market Price

The “Current Market Price” is not the average price at which everyone bought their Bitcoin. It is simply the price of the last successful trade on an exchange. If the last person to buy a Bitcoin paid $100,000, then the math dictates that every single one of the ~19.7 million Bitcoins in existence is now worth $100,000.

Consider a simplified scenario. Imagine an artist creates 1,000 limited-edition digital prints. They sell the first 999 prints for $1 each. The total cash in the system is $999. Suddenly, a collector buys the very last print for $1,000. Under the rules of market cap, every single print is now valued at $1,000. The market cap has leaped from $1,000 to $1,000,000.

Did the market receive a $999,000 injection of cash? No. It received a $1,000 trade. The value increased by nearly a million dollars because of one transaction at the margin. This is the core of the illusion. In a trillion-dollar market cap increase, we are seeing the last-trade price being applied to millions of coins that never actually moved.

The Anatomy of the Multiplier Effect

Economists and analysts frequently discuss the “Fiat-to-Market Cap Multiplier.” This ratio measures how much the market cap grows for every dollar of net inflow. While estimates vary, the consensus is that the multiplier for Bitcoin is significantly high, often ranging between 10x and 50x depending on the liquidity of the environment.

M = Change in Market Cap/ Inflow

Why does this multiplier exist? It …

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) is falling behind the AI trade, with a bounce around $71,000 being key for long-term market structure, according to analysts.

Although SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci is a passionate Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) advocate today, there was a time he couldn’t make sense of it at all—despite early exposure to Satoshi-era figures.

Scaramucci Couldn’t Care Less About BTC At A Time

On a podcast with Liz Thomas that aired April 15, Scaramucci revealed that he was introduced to Bitcoin back in 2011 while attending a presentation by Hal Finney, the late software developer who received the first Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto.

“I did not understand it,” Scaramucci added. The skepticism stuck around for a while. Fast forward to 2013, Scaramucci took to X, then Twitter, to declare that he didn’t know what a Bitcoin was, and couldn’t care less.

Scaramucci then recalled that he was reintroduced to Bitcoin during a conference in Las Vegas, where the Winklevoss twins, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, came over and began telling him about the leading cryptocurrency.

But Scaramucci was still doubtful.

Ripple (CRYPTO: XRP) CEO Brad Garlinghouse predicts the stablecoin market cap to reach $3 trillion by 2031, pointing to the GENIUS Act, the Circle (NASDAQ:CRCL) IPO, and 24/7 payment infrastructure as the key drivers.

Stablecoins Growing Because Payment Rails Can’t Keep Up

Garlinghouse argued at the Coindesk Consensus Conference that the global economy runs 24/7 but traditional payment infrastructure does not.

He pointed to American Airlines making fuel payments in Peruvian sol as a real example, where correspondent banking adds four days and costs that stablecoins eliminate entirely.

Ripple Treasury, formerly G Treasury, processed $13 trillion in payments last year with zero going through stablecoins.

Garlinghouse estimates 30% of that shifts on-chain within five years as corporate treasurers access stablecoin rails through familiar tools.

Greene expected tokenized deposits to “probably take over” from stablecoins over the next five years, Reuters reported her comments from a conference in Croatia on Sunday.

She further argued that although there is a market for central bank digital currencies, stablecoins, and digital deposits, digital deposits may emerge as the ultimate winner once commercial banks recognize their potential to retain traditional bank deposits.

Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) price slipped into a bear market in May as it retreated from $2,470 to $2,000. This retreat may continue further in June as it formed an inverted cup-and-handle pattern, and as Wall Street investors continue dumping their ETF holdings.

Ethereum Price at Risk as ETH ETF Outflows Jump

American investors have continued to sell their ETH ETFs in the past few months. Data shows that these funds experienced over $540 million in outflows in May, paring back all the inflows added in the previous month.

These funds have added assets in just one month this year. Their net inflows since their inception stands at $11.37 billion, with the iShares Ethereum Trust (NASDAQ:ETHA) having the biggest market share with $5.7 billion in assets.

The ongoing Ethereum ETF outflows is a sign that American investors expect that the price to remain under pressure for a while. It could also be because these investors are dumping their assets and rotating to other better-performing assets like stocks.

Data shows that the top stock market-focused ETFs are adding substantial assets this year. For example, the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF …

Hyperliquid’s HYPE token staged a strong breakout on Saturday, continuing a trend that started in January when it bottomed at $20. It surged to a record high of $67, and a combination of strong fundamentals and technicals points to an eventual surge to $100.

HYPE Price Has Formed a Multi-Month Cup and Handle Pattern

Hyperliquid’s token has slowly formed the highly bullish cup & handle pattern, meaning that it has more upside ahead. This cup started forming in September last year when it hit its then all-time high of $59.45. It then made a slow recovery and eventually bottomed out at $20.

Since then, the coin has slowly completed the second half of the cup. It then formed a small handle in May and made a strong bullish breakout. Subtracting the lower side of the cup from its upper side gives it a depth of $40. Adding this amount to its upper side gives it a target of $100.

Ripple (CRYPTO: XRP) climbed for three consecutive days, extending a modest recovery that began Thursday after the token dropped to an important support level. This rebound may be the start of a comeback as third-party data points to increased accumulation by smart money investors.

XRP ETF Inflows are Accelerating

There are signs that smart money investors are accumulating XRP tokens, a sign that they expect it to rebound after being in a five-month consolidation.
